Board Service

Help steward

what comes next.

Ekklesia is building something we hope will outlast any one production—or any one person. We’re looking for thoughtful, committed leaders who want to help protect the mission, strengthen the organization, and expand what’s possible.

MORE THAN A NAME ON A WEBSITE

What board service

actually means.

Our board provides governance, stewardship, accountability, wisdom, and advocacy. Board members help Ekklesia stay healthy enough to keep serving artists, audiences, and our community for years to come.

01

Guard the mission.

Help keep Ekklesia rooted in its Christ-centered identity, core values, charitable purpose, and commitment to excellent theatre.

02

Strengthen the organization.

Bring your perspective, professional experience, relationships, questions, and judgment to the decisions that shape Ekklesia’s future.

03

Champion the work.

Be an advocate for the theatre in the community and help create relationships, resources, and opportunities that move the mission forward.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You don’t have to be a “theatre” person.

We’re looking for people who genuinely believe in the mission and are willing to participate—not simply occupy a seat. Different backgrounds and skill sets make the board stronger.

A Note About Board Service

Serving on the Ekklesia Theatre Board of Directors is a volunteer role focused on governance, stewardship, and advancing the mission of the organization. Board service does not include financial compensation or special privileges. While many board members choose to volunteer in additional ways or participate in productions, board membership itself does not guarantee casting, creative roles, directing opportunities, or involvement in specific shows. Any participation beyond board service is based on availability, fit, and the needs of the production. We are seeking board members who are motivated by a desire to serve the mission, support the organization, and help guide Ekklesia Theatre with wisdom, integrity, and faithfulness.
