This season, we’re celebrating the sacred worth of every person. A reminder from Matthew 10 that you are seen, loved, and your life deeply matters.

"Ekklesia does soulful theater: theater that moves, that delights, that touches hearts, that uplifts. In addition to presenting thoughtful and well executed theater, the company also invests in its community, supporting neighbors in need and making the arts accessible to everyone!"

"The story truly moved us. It was such a wonderful afternoon, deeply enjoyable and incredibly affordable. We had such a great experience with Ekklesia Theatre that we're already planning to come back again this weekend! Thank you!"

"The superb acting and directing, the compelling subject matter; this is the kind of black box theatre that makes you think. We need more good theatre like this in Vancouver. Bravo!"

“I'll be brutally honest: while we are always game to support local theatrical productions, anytime we see a show put on by a "faith-based" outfit, the quality usually isn't that great. And even if the talent is good, the subject matter and choice of scripts is typically cheesy, watered-down and made so inoffensive that shows are often painful to watch. Such was my trepidation when I heard about this show. I've never been so glad to be wrong. For one thing, the two actors were brilliant - some of the best work I've seen in community theater. The connection between the two principals was electric. A pianist was stationed on the edge of the stage and everything else was focused center stage and dialogue-driven by the two actors. Issues that came up in the play included murder, genocide, and grief. Doesn't really sound like the kind of material for a "Christian" theater company, does it? In short: Ekklesia Theatre is producing real art. This is top-notch stuff. Go see it.”

"You did this weird, funny, and intense little Sam Shepard piece justice!"

“We really enjoyed the show! It was full of poignant scenes, lots of laughter, and some very talented folks! We love community theater and are looking forward to your next production.”

“It was SO FUNNY! But I didn't expect to also get so choked up during some of the scenes. It was so good!”

"This Scrooge play is fresh, funny, local jokes, well acted, articulate... this is great!!'

"Took the family to the show last night. Not sure what I was expecting but it was absolutely amazing. So much fun, comedy was on point. Loved the Couve twist on an old classic. Will definitely be going back time after time. Bravo!!!!!"

Not Your Typical “Faith-Based Theatre”

Not Your Typical

“Faith-Based Theatre”

We get it. When people hear “Christian theatre,” they sometimes expect something preachy, cheesy, or second-rate.

That’s not what you’ll find here.

Ekklesia is committed to producing excellent, thought-provoking theatre that wrestles with real questions of life and faith, and to doing it in a way that makes a tangible difference in our community.

Values We Build Every Show On:

Radical Generosity

We give half of every ticket sale away. 50% goes directly to local nonprofits doing good in our city — with no strings attached, no asks in return. On top of that, our Pay-It-Forward ticket model makes sure no one is turned away from experiencing live theatre because of cost.

Spiritual Depth

Our plays don’t hand out answers or preach from the stage. Instead, they invite you to wrestle, reflect, and discover meaning. Each story is chosen to stir conversations about faith, hope, and what it really means to be human.

Community Impact

With most theatre, the story ends when the curtain falls. With Ekklesia, it continues. Every show creates pathways to local nonprofits doing the real work of healing, justice, and hope in our city — connecting what happens onstage to what happens in everyday life.

In May 2025, we donated $728 to Olive Crest, our Community Partner for When the World Was Green (A Chef's Fable). Every ticket purchased helped support youth and families in crisis throughout Clark County!
