We believe theatre can do more than entertain.
It can open hearts. Spark conversations. Stir something eternal.
We partner each show with a local charity doing meaningful work, and we use a pay-it-forward ticket model so no one’s left out.
Our Next Show?
Also… possibly potatoes.
May 30th – June 8th, 2025
We’re performing it at Magenta Theater.
1108 Main Street, Vancouver, WA 98660
You're doing a whole lot more.
🎭 You're honoring artists and their God-given talent — because we believe in paying our people, not just promising “great exposure.” (Hot take: exposure doesn’t fill gas tanks.)
🎟️ You're inviting someone else in. Through our Pay-It-Forward ticket model, your purchase helps someone attend for free — No shame. No strings. Just the dignity of being welcomed.
🤝 And this spring, 50% of every ticket goes to support our Community Partner: Olive Crest, a local nonprofit serving youth and families in crisis across Clark County.
At Ekklesia, we choose our stories with intention—because we believe that art has the power to reflect, challenge, and ultimately heal.
When the World Was Green is a haunting, poetic exploration of regret, generational trauma, and the deep human longing for redemption. It asks hard questions about the past, forgiveness, and what it means to break cycles of pain.
That’s why partnering with Olive Crest made perfect sense.
Their mission—to restore children and families from cycles of crisis through the healing power of God, family, and community—mirrors the very heart of this story.
Where the play wrestles with what was lost, Olive Crest steps into the real world to help rewrite futures.
We’re not just putting on a show.
We’re inviting the community into a shared moment of reflection—and giving them a way to make a real difference, too.
In December 2024, we donated $2,650 to FISH of Vancouver, our Community Partner for Ebenezer Scrooge’s Big Vancouver Christmas Show. Every ticket purchased helped fight food insecurity in our city!
